Prince Harry Shares Update on King Charles III’s Health After Reunion
Prince Harry has offered a rare update on his father, King Charles III, following their recent meeting in London.
On Tuesday, September 10, the Duke of Sussex, 40, attended a reception for the Invictus Games, where a journalist asked about the monarch’s wellbeing. “Yes, he’s great, thank you,” Harry replied, according to People.
Earlier that day, Harry and the King reunited for the first time in 19 months, sharing a private tea at Clarence House. The meeting, which lasted around 50 minutes, was described by the BBC as marking the end of their long estrangement.
Reports suggested the reunion had been in the works for weeks as Harry returned to the U.K. for charity commitments. “After 20 months apart, and with the King continuing his cancer treatment, the feeling is that the time is right to take that step,” a source told The Mirror.
“This is not about grand gestures or staged meetings — it’s about a simple, face-to-face conversation between a father and his son,” the insider added. “Privacy and dignity are the priority, along with keeping the door open for future dialogue.”
Harry has spoken publicly about wanting to repair his strained relationship with his father. In May, he told the BBC, “There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious.”
